Hello Lovely!
Are you planning to get kissed under the mistletoe this Christmas? It’s a fabulous way to Choose Happy! (Did I hear you say, where’s my mistletoe? Heheheh!!)
Whether you are planning to get kissed or want to keep your options open just in case, I know you’ll love to get Kissable Lips.
(And this is good for boys and girls!)
Sensible stuff (just in case you don’t fancy kissing anyone.) Whether we are in the middle of cold season or we are down-under enjoying the summer heat, extremes in temperature can lead to chapped and flaky lips. Which are not happy making! Choose Happy and get those lips happy and healthy.
I love cosmetics and enjoy buying all kinds of beauty products and playing with them. However, I recently ran out of my Lancombe lip moisturizer and didn’t see an opportunity for heading to the mall for a while. (Okay, I didn’t want to go to the mall, preferring to shop local during the holiday season!)
Then I remembered an old recipe that I used to use and that I taught to my daughters years ago:
Jacqueline’s Fabulous Choose Happy with Kissable Lips Recipe:
You will need:
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
- Mix them together. I use the palm of my hand and will explain why later…
Once you have a nice mixture in your hand or a little bowl, apply to your lips. Rub the goeey mixture all over your lips in little circles and voila! You have exfoliated your lips and left them yummy and sticky. Wipe off your lips with a warm, damp flannel or washcloth. And…woohoo!!! Super kissable lips.
Then use your regular lip balm or lip salve, so your lips stay moisturized. You can do this once a week and I highly recommend you do it before New Year’s Eve, so that you stay super kissable come midnight. Be Prepared is my motto!
Oh, and the excess in the palm of your hand? Add a little olive oil, about 1 teaspoonful, from the kitchen cupboard. Then rub the entire conconction into your hands, top and bottom. You’ve just made your own one minute manicure! Rinse off with warm water and apply your favorite hand lotion. Now, you’ve super soft hands all ready to dish out some hugs and maybe even a nice massage.
I hope you enjoy this easy beauty tip, have a fabulous Christmas and New Year, Choose Happy and enjoy those Kissable Lips.

YAY! This sounds delicious, yummy and easy-peasy Jacqueline! I’m fixin’ to get kissed under the mistletoe, so I will definitely give it a whirl! And great idea for adding olive oil and rubbing into the hands–mine get sooooo dry and yucky so fast! 🙁 I will be slathering myself in shea butter after this exfoliation extravaganza! THANKS! 🙂

Coconut oil is also fabulous for moisturizing…full of nutrients and solid at room temperature. I keep some handy in a little pot and use it lavishly! Yum! Enjoy…xox

This is fantastic! I think I would rather just lick my lips rather than wipe it off, lol 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing this! Definitely will be using it.

Wow love it! I’m vegan so I’m going to try it with some maple syrup & see how that goes! 😀 Mwah mwah daahling!
JFairbrass says
Or agarve syrup would work too, or you could use coconut oil…the stickiness of honey or syrup helps. Then pop the coconut oil on afterwards. Enjoy!

Great tip Jacqueline! Going to do this with my kids because they love any excuse to mix and mess!
JFairbrass says
Ooh, Christie, they’d love a yoghurt and oatmeal facial too. My girls used to do that at the cottage, so they could wash it off in the lake.
