There can be no new life without the passing of the old. Let go of the past, because there’s no going back. Tarot & Tea, VIII, Death/Rebirth
This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
Focus on the new and not the old. It is time for a new beginning. So allow those old attitudes, beliefs and behaviors to change. It’s time. Trust and have faith that all is well and as it is meant to be. Get enthusiastic about this. But don’t tell others you’ve changed. Just be the change.
Time to up the ante. Change from one state of being to another. If this feels like a dark night of the soul, know that this too shall pass. Or maybe it feels like a series of mini losses or deaths. Up and down we go. Each emotion taking us in hand and giving us a shake. Burst into the light.
And the new you rises like a Phoenix from the ashes.
Keep this in mind, especially if today is rocky for you.
Transformation is taking place. Make room in life for the new to come in. It may be painful to accept and release. In fact, new life is often painful too. Think of the physical birthing process. But honey, it is so gonna be worth it! Keep going. Angels on your shoulders.
Most important to take some time for yourself. Alone time. For contemplation, meditation and/or prayer.
Even if you’ve got a house full and life filled right up. Find some time to get centered and be alone. If you can get down to the river, ocean or stream with your journal, then that’s perfect. However, if it’s ten minutes with your journal in the bathroom with the door locked, that’ll have to do. Just do it. Find time to get clear and get your head on straight.
Get off social media for a while. Even 24 hours can help press your re-set button. If you can take longer, then do so. Everyone needs a break or we start to lose the plot. Don’t lose the plot. Take a break. You deserve and need it.
Death tea! Hah! Just kidding. How about Re-birth tea instead? Someone suggested I try some Eucalyptus tea for clarity and re-birth, but it tasted like soap to me. I ended up putting it in the bath instead of drinking it. So, what would a mental clarity tea be? Going with a nice Black Assam. Strong, earthy, bold and fresh. That’s how we need to show up today. And our tea is taking us there.
A day to kick the old into touch, and play on!
