Clarity, Focus, Action – Three Steps to Change

Looking Good ~ Feeling Great!

I was chatting with an absolutely fabulous client recently. And I asked her about what contribution I made to her life?

Honestly, I just asked, ‘what is that you get from working with me?

Without any hesitation she said: ‘your gift is being able to bring mental clarity to any situation.

Getting mental clarity is a huge step for many people.

We study, we wish, we vision, we dream, but do we really know what we want? Often times what we think we want, isn’t as much fun when we get it. We maybe liked the idea of it, or thought by getting something we would become happy.

By gaining mental clarity, you can really work out what it is that you truly want from life.

So, what do I do next? The next step is to get really focused; focused on what you really want.

Once we have worked through the muddles and know what we want to go for; then we need to focus. It’s like turning on a laser-beam and pinpointing our desires. We retain our peripheral vision, so that we don’t miss any opportunities but our eyes remain on the goal. You have to stay focused, and be calm and confident.

Then each day ‘take action’. Dreaming is good, but you have to remember to take action steps everyday towards achieving your goals. It has to become a priority in your life.

Often times people have a vague idea, lack of focus and just jump into taking action. For example, you want to lose some weight. Someone tells you about a diet plan and how it will make it easy to lose weight. So, you sign up and start on the products.

Then you lose some weight. You feel good…and the very next thing, it all goes pear-shaped!

First off, you didn’t realize how much money these products cost, so you sign-up as a sales-person. Then you try selling the ‘products’, so you can pay for yours.

Your focus has gone.

You find you miss eating real food and start eating food as well as the products. Was the action you took right to achieve your goal? Hmmm…

A better approach is to work out what you really want to achieve. This is the clarity part!

Ask yourself ‘why do I really want to lose weight?’

  • To feel better about myself?
  • What does that mean to me?
  • Feel healthier?
  • To look better?
  • Have a longer life?
  • To be fitter?
  • What is the real goal?

Once you have your WHY, then you can start to focus and the laser-beam of intent gets activated. And each day, you take the action necessary to achieve that goal!

So, my darlings, before you race off and rush into another idea, tune into mental clarity first. As I’ve said before ‘so tell me what you want, what you really, really want!’ Once you have the mental clarity, then focus and take action each day.
