Appreciation and Happy Dancing into the Chinese New Year
Appreciation and gratitude, delight and joy. Celebrate life’s blessings. Tarot & Tea, Eight of Water.
This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
Do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight! Okay, that’s it for today. Hahah! Just kidding. But seriously, isn’t it time to lighten up, lovely? Count your blessings. Take pride in your achievements.
Embrace life with open arms. Take time to appreciate the people in your life: your friends, loves, kids, family, supporters, champions. Take inventory and give yourself a big hug. Find your cheering squad and allow yourself to feel appreciated.
(Now I know not everyone in our lives is part of our cheering squad, so let’s just ignore them. Yes, permission granted to ignore the Negative Nellies and the nay-sayers.)
Take pride in your achievements. Look back on the week, the year so far and do a little check list. What did you do that’s good for you? That makes you feel proud? Honor the steps, Dear Heart, honor the steps. Remember, it’s all about the journey, not the goal.
No, I know it’s not realistic to be happy all the time. But today, to heck with that, let’s focus on what brings us joy. And if you are unhappy, here’s a question for you: what do you need to change, because more of the same isn’t gonna make it better. Aha!
Genuine appreciation lightens and lifts our spirits.
Hey, it’s Chinese New Year. The year of the Rooster begins with Eight of Water. Now, that’s an auspicious sign. Let’s set our intent for the year: appreciation, gratitude, delight and joy. Yes, there’ll be ups and downs, that’s life. But when we decide to focus on the blessings instead of the losses, we’ll stay more stable and be able to ride the waves.
