This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
Today may be challenging, if we stay rigid in our thoughts. Rigid mind means a rigid body. And vice versa. A day to listen and watch carefully what happens around us. As well as what happens within. Don’t trust blindly, either your own opinions or those of others. Opinions are not facts.
Acknowledge the power the mind has over the body. Only you can monitor your thoughts. Choose to stay healthy by staying positive in thoughts.
A fact is something that is proven to be true. Like, when sun shines through water particles a rainbow appears in the sky. An opinion is how we access and process information in our minds. Like, I believe that people are intrinsically good. There’s a lot of people out there who’ll argue that, demonstrating acts of meanness and cruelty as ‘proof’. But I maintain that I believe in their hearts there is a spark of the Great Goodness, however deep it may appear buried.
So, sometimes we need to discern, are we looking and listening to facts or opinions. And when we do, how does that make us feel?
Discern what makes you feel good. Go with that. Less stress stat!
Stress has been ‘proven’ to be the basis of disease in 70 to 95% of cases, by clinical study. So, feeling good is very important to physical health. Whether you believe your thoughts affect your body or not is irrelevant. They do.
So, today, remember that the mind has an impact on your body. Choose to be selective in what you spend your time on.
Sipping Bramble Cottage black tea, waiting for the light to return over the mountains. A sleepy day beckons for me, with tea and knitting. Laundry and cooking. Things that make my heart light and allow my body to heal.
