Self-care required stat! Charity begins at home. Tarot & Tea, Nine of Earth Reversed
This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
We are loving and giving. And isn’t it a nice feeling? We care for our families, loved ones and even extend the greatest kindness and compassion to people we don’t know. But what about us? We are being reminded that we matter, and that kindness and compassion must be turned inwards.
Today, we are challenged to look in the mirror and see where we are unwilling to take the same kind of care and consideration of ourselves that we give to others.
There’s a little voice within that snaps when you make a mistake. Or harbors a grudge about imperfections. That little voice is picking at your flaws and weaknesses. Or you’ve no time left at the end of the day to care for you. My personal one is taking the time to knit beautiful things for loved ones, and rarely ever putting something on the needles for me. I’m the after-thought, oh…I’ll get to it once I’ve finished my projects for others.
Time for self-care.
I love being kind and charitable, giving of my time, energy and skills. But if I don’t replenish my own cup, how can it overflow to look after others. Where are you giving more than you’ve got? Find and make an adjustment.
Here’s a link for some fabulous tips on how to make time and space for self-care in your life.
The worst thing, oh yes, a warning is here, is that we can actually end up physically ill. Yikes! And then we have no energy to care for others, and we feel even worse.
So, Dear Heart, Nine of Earth Reversed sees into our hearts and souls and tells us to love ourselves for all we are worth. Got a little niggle? Check it out. Take some time to care for your health, your precious body. Not at the end of the day, or week or month. But now.
I’ve some delicious new tea to start my day. A simple way to treat yourself. Although I love my Bramble Cottage black tea and it’s my absolute favorite, I love to change things up. A fabulous green tea with jasmine. Delicate tea made from tender buds. Ahh…reinforcing self-care. And of course, green tea has a host of health benefits, including heart support. So important when we need to self-care.
Remember with green tea, you need to let the water come off the boil before adding. Else it becomes bitter. Want to try what’s in my cup? As people keep asking me, I’ve supplied a link below. Enjoy!
The need to be kind and charitable to ourselves is highlighted today in the message ‘self-care’. A grand gesture is great, but build some daily love into your life. You deserve it. And you know what? You’ll have more energy to give more to others too. It’s a win-win kind of day.
Much love,
