Change Your Mind, Change Your Life

When Tarot & Tea reveals Ace of Air we are encouraged to make changes. Change your mind. Gentle change leads to permanent results.

This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.

Today we get to question our path in life, our ideologies and our beliefs. Whew, maybe a bit heavy? No! Just do it. ‘Let it go, let it go.’ Sing along. You’ve got this.

Like an old sweater that is worn out and bobbly, no longer stylish and no longer soft and warm, we hold on. We find ourselves not letting go. We hold on to the memory of how it used to make us feel. Of how it made us feel safe, warm, and snuggly. Then one day was see it with new eyes and realize it just is plain worn out. It’s time to let it go.

That’s the energy of the day! Our mind is filled with ideals and philosophies, old stories that are worn out. What if we decided today to change our mind. To look at life with new eyes, the way we saw the sweater. What changes would you like to make?

Definitely a day to embrace our creativity. What’s that new project you want to work on? Find some time for it.

Or is it an older one, that needs an infusion of love and energy. Shake it up! Walk away for a while and then look at it again. Ask input from another’s point of view. You can take the input or leave it. But sometimes someone else’s view helps us make a little shift in how we see things. And at other times, it makes it very clear that we like our way of seeing.

It’s absolutely lashing down with rain here in the Pacific Northwest, and has been for several days. I love it! Sitting, sipping a delightful cup of Bramble Cottage tea, I’m watching Mother Earth wash the world clean. Very symbolic for a day when we are guided to change our mind. Letting the rain wash away the old, stubborn things that the mind holds onto. Meditative and peaceful.

But I can also here the creek bubbling and gurgling as it fills. A raging river! I’m pulling out my journal and going to let the raging river of the mind loose. Woohoo! Join me.

(By the way, did I tell you that the creek is called Christmas Creek? For real. Isn’t that delightful. Bramble Cottage, Christmas Creek, my new address. Well in my mind. I know the post office won’t have it. But in my mind…)

Don’t be a sheep today and follow the crowd. Be yourself. Be unique. And most importantly, have fun, lighten up. Go on, I dare you…change your mind.
