It’s all in how you look at things. Tarot & Tea, XXI Perception.
This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
Change it up and see things from a different viewpoint.
I often sit with clients and ask them to look straight ahead and describe what they see. Then to just gently shift their seating a little to one way or the other. Then to look straight ahead and describe again. Just the tiniest little shift in position and the view is completely different.
For example, I’m sitting here looking at my computer. I lift my head and I see my oracle and tarot cards stacked on my desk. (Very nicely organized between mermaid book-ends!) But if I swivel my office chair just a few inches, I’m looking at a beautiful view of the bird feeders on the tree, the brambles behind. And being the Pacific Northwest, mysterious trees covered with moss.
That’s a different perspective.
Nothing really changed very much. I’m still at my desk, with my tea, cards and computer. But the view is completely different.
That’s what we are being guided to look at today. Where are we being rigid and not seeing another point of view? What would a little shift in thinking do to change up our lives?
Aha! Get it?
So, Dear Heart, pull out your journal and write about things. Perhaps things that are bugging you. And change up the perspective. Ever so slight change reveals a whole new world.
And of course, once we’ve seen things a certain way, we’ve added to our experiences. Nothing is taken from us when we change perspective. We grow and see more. Which makes us more understanding, compassionate and tolerant of the seeming differences of others.
Taking a different perspective, I’m drinking Chai this morning. (Did you know that calling it Chai tea is redundant, because Chai means Tea! Aha! Gentle perspective change, I think.) It’s usually something I enjoy after lunch or even dinner. Changing it up. Warm milk, black teas and spices makes for a whole different routine from making my usual Bramble Cottage Black tea. But, I’m still drinking tea, just a different perspective.
(I have to zoom out to Selah Gifts in North Bend to do readings right now, so didn’t have a chance to pop together my Chai recipe for you. If you are interested just email me at email@example.com with the subject Chai and I’ll add you to my list and send it out next week. okay?)
So, go ahead. Change it up today. Even a teeny-tiny change will open you to a new perspective. And who knows where that will lead. Be adventurous today.
