National Pursuit of Happiness Week Day Five

National Pursuit of Happiness Day Five PlayWelcome to Day Five of our National Pursuit of Happiness Week Challenges!

This one is especially eccentric and positively perfect for those of us who worry about what people will think.

Do you find yourself wanting to be light and playful, but don’t want people to think badly of you? Trust me, people are so busy worrying about themselves, that they really aren’t that bothered.

National Pursuit of Happiness Week Day Five Challenge is…

PLAY!

Enjoy yourself. Have fun. Bring out your inner child. Play! (Don’t worry about what other people think…you’ll be sharing joy with others :D)

 When do you feel Happy?

I used to be downright bashful unless I felt I was in safe company. And here’s me in a Dollar Store playing around. Were there people there looking at me and thinking I was nutz? Maybe, but who cares! I was having fun goofing around with my youngest daughter. She captured the moment on her phone and we have a memory we giggle about.

And a bonus…a young mum caught my eye…we giggled together and the Happiness spread in the store. It gave her permission to lighten-up and have some fun with her kids in the store…and we all went on our way feeling lighter and gigglier…

Do you hold back the true you? Is there a playful person hiding under layers of fear? Has the essense of you been squelched out by life’s challenges and limitations?

Honestly darling, it just doesn’t have to stay that way. The first step is to Change Your Mind and Choose Happy. Don’t know where to start? Don’t know how to start?

You can follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook for Daily Doses of Delight!

So cute! I remember being a teenager and SOOOO embarrassed at my own mom’s crazy antics in public — but now I see that she was just teaching me to have FUN! (And now I can’t wait to embarrass my own kids when they’re old enough to know their mom is a total nutcase!) 🙂

Love it! I remember ‘why can’t you look like the other mums?’ … and eventually they got it. Isn’t it fun? Thanks for sharing. 😀 😀
