This month I’m sharing with you some thoughts and ideas about how we can use this time of year to make changes. Embrace Peace. Gentle change leads to permanent results.
Take time for yourself this February to get in touch with the slowness of winter. Enjoy the season.
I stood outside this morning, breathing the cool, crisp air and looking around at the beauty of the natural world. It’s misty today. I can see the brambles, but beyond the creek behind my house, the trees have disappeared into the haze. Only their outlines can be seen reaching into the sky.
The mountains have disappeared, replaced by a soft, luminous whiteness.
As I turn around I can hear the I90 highway, the trucks rolling by . Their sound always distant, now muted by the softness of the fog. As I turn full circle and listen a little more carefully, I hear the gentle pitter-pat of the damp air dripping from the trees. The gurgle of the creek. A solitary bird flies over head. Even the little chickadees are quiet for once. It is so peaceful and beautiful.
I am alone.
Yet, I know I am not alone.
The mountains are there, even though I cannot see them.
The cars are rolling by as people get on with their lives.
Even though I cannot see anything beyond the brambles and the mist, I know life is still going on.
Even though I cannot see it, I know that I am loved and cherished by friends and family. Even though I cannot see it, I know that there are angels and faeries nearby. Even though I cannot see it, I know there is a higher power, call it god or goddess, creator or universe, the Great Goodness. I know it’s out there and I am part of this oneness.
I am part of this oneness. And so are you.
Take a moment today to pause in peace.
Take time to rest. Take time to breathe deeply. Take time to listen to the small, quiet whispers that speak to us of our dreams and wishes. Enjoy the quiet times. For this world is busy and energetic. And we often spend our time rushing around focused on the busy-ness of life. We forget just how beautiful life can be.
Today give thanks for all the beauty in life and the wonders around. This is a beautiful planet. Celebrate and give thanks.
What are your dreams and ambitions?
Are you taking time to reflect on how wonderful you are?
Are you taking time to reflect on all the lives you touch daily, and have done throughout your life?
We often feel we have to rush through February to get to Spring. Slow down, breathe deeply, pause in peace. Reflect on how far you’ve come in life. And begin the dreaming process again.
What do you want to do next with this wonderful gift of life you have been given? Each day is a chance to start living your life the way you want to live it.
What gentle changes can you start today to make your life one of health, happiness and abundance?
Begin with pausing and being still for a few moments, each day before you begin the daily routines. Set your intention for the day.
Today I will breathe deeply, give gratitude for the love and beauty that surrounds me and carry that peace in my heart.
What will you do?
You are the most important thing in your entire life. Put your arms around yourself and love yourself for all you’re worth.
Whatever is happening in your life take steps to simply surrender.
Let go and let god/goddess.
Relax, breathe deeply. All is well.
When you are tired, rest.
When in pain: lean on a friend, a loved one, a family member, a coach or therapist.
When you feel like having fun, play.
When feeling sad, simply sit down and cry.
When lonely, connect with a loved one, a friend, a family member, your coach or therapist.
When in need of pampering, do whatever nurtures you. (My personal favorite to lift spirits is a bubble bath, with a glass of wine and some beautiful organic chocolate.)
Take some time to ‘smell the roses’ and slow down. We have all the time in the world.
And a final reminder: be grateful for the things you have and more will come to you. Don’t focus on what you haven’t got; focus on what you do have.
I’m here to help. After a couple of months of rest and repair after illness, I am back in my office and taking telephone appointments in-person and by phone. Email for an appointment.
Blessings,
