Time to break free from the labels and definitions imposed on us. Tarot & Tea, XIV Self
This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
Finding a center of peace within us daily, we resonate more with who we really are. Letting go of judgement of ourselves and others, we become more in tune with what really matters to us. Today, we are encouraged to find that center of peace.
Break free!
How does that make you feel? More and more we are seeing people stepping up and stating their independence and authenticity. But is it authentic, or are they just following along with the crowd? Is their definition of self clear or muddied by what we think we need to be.
Understanding our true nature is an unraveling of what we have learned. Releasing what we have been indoctrinated into thinking and believing, and really looking at what matters to us. Heart and soul speaking louder than the media and the traditions.
Think about definitions.
Where are you showing up as a chameleon? It’s natural to wear different hats when we play different roles. But are we defining ourselves as we want to, or as we think we have to?
Pull out your pen and paper. Journal. Write the answer to these questions. Let it come deep from within yourself. From your heart and soul. Then write about who you want to be, the real you within.
Don’t feel like journaling? Sigh…it really is such a great tool as it uses parts of your brain that we don’t use when thinking and even when typing. But, if you’re not going to do it, then spend some time in meditation. Contemplate the definitions imposed by the roles you play in life. And if you have someone safe you can talk to, then talk about the definitions.
The perfect tea to sip today as you contemplate, journal or just chill, is my Bramble Cottage black tea blend. Blackberries are constantly in transition without definition. Seriously! Green berries, red berries, blossoms and full plump black berries all at the same time. Protective thorns, nurturing leaves and berries. All at the same time! They’re not trying to fit in and their definition of self is never in question. (Wink!) Be one with the brambles.
Don’t stop to judge yourself. Please. Be kind. Be gentle with yourself. The Self card isn’t judgmental, in fact it’s completely the opposite. Self inspires us to be creative, get self-supportive and live as we really want to.
