Our spiritual beliefs bring comfort and a sense of well-being to us. But to others they can be a source of conflict. We can choose to be allow influence for kindness and tolerance. Tarot & Tea, Seven of Air
This is the energy of the day, and how to embrace and make the most of it.
All spiritual or religious paths can open our lives to the influence of love and the Great Goodness. But it can also close our minds to seeing others’ right to their beliefs too. A day to seek a kind approach to those around us. Where can we be open and more inclusive? Let’s explore.
More wars have started on our beautiful planet over religion than any other single cause. But isn’t the basis of spirituality our interconnectedness to the Great Goodness? A question to ponder in meditation. To explore in group discussions. But ultimately, to look at where we fight this within ourselves. That’s the influence of Seven of Air today.
The bottom line is that it doesn’t matter what you believe, but how you show up in your belief. Are you espousing one type of behavior, while living another? Something to think about.
How can spirit influence your life today?
Definitely education comes with Seven of Air. Learn more. Find a mentor or a teacher. Read books or scan the web for articles on the spiritual path that resonates with you.
Be kindness.
To you, and to others. Give yourself permission for kindness to be part of how you show up. And it can be as simple as smiling at others, and as powerful as listening. The smile means “I see you”. The listening gives the power of the gift of being heard. In this noisy world, think how special that it…to be seen and to be heard.
As I opened my tea cupboard (and yes, I do have a cupboard dedicated to tea…I’ll share some photos one day) a little package fell out. A sign from the Angels. They literally threw the tea at me.
Blackcurrant flavored black tea. Hearty caffeinated kick-start to the day (well, a bit anyhoos) and blackcurrants, my favorite fruit. They actually grow wild in Britain, perhaps how I fell in love with them. You know how I love to forage and get free food. Although beloved in the UK and Europe, in the US they were thought to be harbingers of doom and destruction, so stomped out.
Can you see how they relate to Seven of Air? One person’s sweet treat is another person’s poison. Depends on the influence.
Hmm and on the health benefits…healthy blood flow and circulation, kick-start to kidney well-being, good for boosting eye, immune and gut health. I guess we need a tune-up. And blackcurrants have all this.
So I’ve popped a link below, in case you need a boost. And also, these tart, delightful little berries taste fabulous and make a great addition to our tea for today.
Today, let us choose to be under the influence of kindness, compassion and acceptance.
