Here’s the diet secret scoop: Diet’s Don’t Work!
Argh! Diets don’t work. What? You knew it? Then why do you keep dieting?
Diets don’t work. We know it. We hear it all the time now. But we still look to find the perfect ‘diet’.
I have decided that it’s time we took back the word ‘diet’.
Diet used to mean how and what we ate. Also, and most importantly IMHO, diet was a word that described lifestyle choice. The word diet was all about our health and wellbeing, not a number on a scale. Diet didn’t mean ‘a way to lose weight’.
The way we use diet now, we actually use it as a word meaning ‘temporary change in what we eat to lose weight.’
When we go on a diet we mean we are changing our eating plans to lose or gain weight. We are accepting temporary change in our life. As soon as we achieve the goal, well we are going straight back to how we used to be. And we all know what that leads to.
No! Let’s go back to the old meaning. Real change in any way, involves deciding to make real changes in our lives.
Real change in how we look and how we FEEL about ourselves, only comes when we make a real change. Not a temporary change. Gentle Change Leads to Permanent Results.
Real change begins with making the decision to Choose to Live Happy, Healthy and the best version of ourselves.
Instead of worrying about our weight or our diet, we Choose Happy. Happy People don’t go on crazy diets (unless there is a health reason, and then it’s temporary). Happy People are more healthy. There are clinical studies that show it.
So, stop panicking about going on a diet and Choose Happy. Take life at your own speed. Your Happy Life is all about you.
